This Pant concept was inspired by the marriage vows used in Christianity. It is seen that only the woman has to use the word 'OBEY' in her vows while the man does not. I chose to focus on this word as I found this idea quite archaic. I decided to create a pair of couture looking fashionable pants that were inspired by prison pants. This was to touch on the topic on how the word Obey makes the role of the woman submissive and can led her to be trapped in abusive or one sided marriages. Specially when certain cultures look to divorced women as taboo and not a part of society leaving them imprisoned in their marriages.
