This Dress was inspired by the idea of how people repress their emotions. These emotions are stored deep inside and can only be seen under certain circumstances. It holds onto the idea that us as a society have become more taboo about expressing our emotions though we feel a lot we hide these feelings inside and portray on the outside that everything is okay and normal. It was inspired by Robert brownings poems that express this idea of duality in saying something and meaning something else and the famous quote by Margaret Thatcher: One of the greatest problems of our age is that we are governed by people who care more about feelings than they do about thoughts and ideas?
